Hi Veronika, tell us about Francisco.
Francisco was born in 2019. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy after a delayed C-section. Francisco is a smiley boy who loves certain songs and cartoons. He loves people pulling funny faces and making silly noises. He communicates through facial expressions and kicks and moves his arms to show excitement.
Why did you decide to book ABM® lessons for Francisco?
We were trying lots of different therapies, mostly Bobath and Vojta in the past, but we could see very little progress. The price to pay for those was Francisco screaming, vomiting and he became afraid of people. It just didn't feel right to me.
I started believing in magic again -Veronika
I came across a book the Kids Beyond Limit by Anat Baniel, read it and booked our first Feldenkrais session (no local ABM practitioners). I started believing in magic again I guess. From that moment we are only doing feldenkrais and anat baniel method. And my son is progressing so quickly. He can roll from the side to side, he is stronger.
How many ABM® lessons has Francisco had so far?
Francisco has been having ABM lessons since September 2022, he has intensives every 6 weeks or so. This was our first set of intensives with Michelle on the Isle of Wight.
What changes have you noticed after the lessons?
At the first lesson we could hardly touch his arms but by the end he was so much softer and accepted different kind of positions. It was amazing to see him leaning on his right elbow.

When we returned home, his nursery reported changes in Francisco too. He was kicking with his right leg, he was using his left hand to help the right one to go in his mouth. He is vocalising more. Also when I hold him, I can feel his back got stronger again.
This is wonderful to hear Veronika!
Thank you,
Michelle
